Versatile Proximity Sensors Canfield Connector’s Series 7000 rugged, cost effective proximity sensors are used to sense position on two to eight inch bore tie rod cylinders. These switches feature a self adjusting clamp that grips standard NFPA as well as custom cylinders, which eliminates the need to stock individual clamps for different bore sizes. The series 7000 has a wide range of custom circuits including 1 or 4 Amp reed switches, normally open, normally closed or SPDT switch types, reed or electronic sensing elements, and the industry’s first 120 VAC Hall sensor. The versatile Series 7000 allows you to use one switch for a majority of voltages and cylinder sizes, is compatible with Intrinsically Safe barriers and operates in a temperature range from -20° to +80°C. Most versions are wash- down compatible NEMA 6 and are CSA approved for the US and Canada. A variety of enclosures and connector options are available.
